http://mecadev.cnrs.fr/index.php?post/2016/10/07/Le-livre-de-la-Jungle-en-Malaysie-%28Rimba-Book%29

Abstract. Rudyard Kipling’s ’The Jungle Book’ was tale of how Mowgli, a man-cub raised by a family of wolves embarked on a journey of self-discovery while trying to flee a tiger. The movie was a big hit, and now the directors are in the midst of making Jungle Book 2. We don’t know how this sequel will turn out, but what if the movie was set in Malaysia? In the jungle, which is known as ’Rimba’ in Malay, would an older Mowgli have befriended similar animals? Would he have been chased by a tiger as well? Do the jungles in Malaysia face similar threats from humans? Join us for a sneak peak at ’Rimba book’.
